Missions

Breaking Bonds
Breaking Bonds began as a weekly meeting in 2014. In 2016 Casey and Tiffanie Turner felt led by God to start a free faith based rehabilitation program in Jonesboro, Ar. Since then, the program has grown and expanded. With two men's campuses and one lady campus partner, Breaking Bonds is changing the world on soul at a time.

Team 25:35
Founded by Salt Worship, Team 25:35 provides support to at-risk children and their families in the community. Working with Jonesboro's Success Academy, the members act as mentors and tutors for the children. Throughout the year Team 25:35 collects needed items such as food, back packs, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene materials. The goal is to make sure children and those who work with them never feel neglected or forgotten.

Care Team
The care team ministry is one of the longest standing missions at FUMC. Volunteers meet monthly to write cards to the elderly, the ill, and shut-ins. Volunteers travel to nursing homes to bring the joy of the Gospel and the love of Jesus to residents. Members of the care team are often called upon when a family member of the church passes away to bring meals to help during the rough times.

Cuba Missions
Started in 2016, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, a partnership was formed with the United Methodist Conference of Cuba. As travel restrictions from the communist party have lifted, more than a dozen short-term mission trips have been made to Cuba. The trips are aimed at helping the local churches sustain growth and expand.

Microsociety Mentors and
Lunch Buddies
In an effort to help local students in need, a partnership was formed with MicroSociety Elementary School. With 99% of the students qualifying for free lunches, the program is helping offset economic disadvantages for students. Mentors and lunch buddys visit with students periodically helping be an example in the student's life.
